Proteomics and Metabolomics Biomarker Discovery in CSF

Welcome Invitation

The application of proteomics and metabolomics technology in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) diagnosis is of interest
for various human neurological diseases including multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer.

This Congress aims to attract interested scientists from academia and industry to come together and exchange their latest results in this exciting and fast developing field. This two-day meeting will cover biological aspects of CSF, proteomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics and animal models applying CSF to study neurological diseases. Special focus will be given to developments in handling of CSF and quantitation of various biological compounds
in CSF (metabolites, proteins and modified peptides). It will thus give interested newcomers to the field as well as experienced scientists the opportunity to update themselves in a condensed fashion.

The list of invited speakers, each of them a leader in her/his field, guarantees that high quality research will be presented. Next to these international experts there will be representatives from a range of companies that will show their latest instrumentation and information about mass spectrometry, metabolomics and Life Science products in a large exhibition room.

A book that covers the proceedings and general issues of “Proteomics and Metabolomics Biomarker Discovery in CSF” will be published by Springer Verlag (Dordrecht). It is a pleasure to invite everyone interested in the biology
of CSF and especially in proteomics, metabolomics and bioinformatics to register. We anticipate a stimulating congress, an interesting poster session, and flourishing scientific interactions in “Engels”, Rotterdam.

We like to thank the Top Institute Pharma, Vereniging Trustfonds Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, Rotterdam Marketing, MS Research and the sponsors for their support.
